IVA process question

I’m still waiting for stepchange to get back to me, but wonder how “your signature will have to be witnessed by a solicitor or a commissioner for oaths.” works out. Would I need to travel, are these a common thing that can be accessed locally, would the charge go through the IP?

Most solicitors will witness a signature for around £25.I am sure you will find one nearby. \you will have to pay the solicitor yourself.
The witness will require form(s) of ID to prove you are who you say you are, when you make the appointment they will let you know, but it is usually something like a birth certificate, current official bill (council tax is a favourite) and an official photo ID like a passport or photo driving licence.

This must be new as I didn't need to do this when my IVA was set up by them (2yrs ago)

I started with RSM enon ( sooo long ago) and they sent a courier to check my ID when he delivered the paperwork to my home.

I never had to do anything like that at all.
