I've had an email from Aperture Debt Solutions who say they have funds to send me from a closed IVA with DFD. They are requesting my bank details - is this a scam?

I don't know but I would phone them to check.

I have heard of them doing this recently with another poster and it turned out to be genuine. But, as with all things like this, I would do as Kallis suggest and contact them directly yourself, using details from their website ( not from the email) and get them to confirm.

Ask Aperture.

Aperture acquired DFD following their adminstration in September 2017, and a Trust is in place for cases who closed before the acquisition. If your case closed prior to the acquisition and the trust has ceased acting on your case due to no interest, you could well be due some funds back, if your case has hit 100p/£ post closure or the former IP has taken the decision to vacate the trust and declare no interest.
As with anything, it could be a scam but of course could be genuine. Aperture's email addresses end @aperture.uk.com. Did it come from one of these? Admittedly the 'from' address can be spoofed, but it's a good indicator. I would also check to see if they've quoted your original reference number - this wouldn't have been published publicly and could be a good indicator on the validity of the email.
As mentioned above, give Aperture a call to check.
