Hi. I'm 5 years 5 months into my IVA with 7 more monthly payments to go. About 5 months ago I got a tax rebate of £833 What a god send I thought at the time. I spent the money on a repairs to my car (which I need for work) and new clothes (I was desperate for. I hadn't bought any for years!) Now my IVA provider is pushing me to get a tax rebate check. I'm now in total panic mode that I will fail my IVA at this late stage. What shall I do? Any advice would be appreciated.

The F&F offer you are considering will not prevent this being looked at. It would be better to come clean and use the money your relative is willing to give to pay ant resulting arrears, then keep your head down and wait the few months until the end.

I sympathise with the situation, you could try saying that you had an emergency and used it accordingly, that you really had no choice because of your car, the alternative is they might add this onto the end of the IVA to recoup the funds. I doubt they would let it fail because of an honest mistake.
