Effects of an IVA

Hi there,
I'm about to enter into an IVA. Or at least I think I am. I've asked a lot of questions, all of which have been answered. But one of my main concerns is how it will effect my personal life in the future.
I'm 30 years old and single, but would like to get married one day. I'm wondering how this would affect my IVA or future partner.
When it comes to a wedding, how would you go about paying for it? I think my parents would be kind enough to pay towards it, but would that count as windfall, or a gift?
And I know many people pay for wedding things on a credit card, which I of course wouldn't be able to get on an IVA.
The same with a house. If my partner owned a house or wanted to buy, how would that work on an IVA? I wouldn't want it to effect anyone but myself.
I'm dying to talk to my parents about all this but they'd be so worried and upset I just can't do it. I can't let them try and help me and I know they would as they wouldn't be able to afford it and it's not their mess to sort out. Finances are a personal issue and I don't think I should involve them if I can help it. Or anyone for that matter, but with things like this I don't know how you'd keep having an IVA a secret. Everyone has credit cards these days so not having one or not being able to get one, I imagine, would raise questions and potentially cause issues.
Any advice would be so appreciated!
Thanks.
