Hi,

I started my IVA in 2011 its been completed and finished since 2016 however, we are now 3 years post IVA and i am being told this could affect my application for a mortgage so my question is how do i get a mortgage??

My IVA no longer shows on my credit report I now have good credit everything paid and/or up to date but apparently most lenders ask the question “have you ever been insolvent or subject to a debt management plan” on their applications and i have to say yes ...

Any help appreciated. I appreciate its been a while since i completed my IVA but your help would be valued.

It is basically down to each lenders own policies. Many will lend 6 years after the start of an IVA, some 6 years after the end and a few never !

Yes you do have to answer yes, but as the credit file si clear, we would still be able to obtain high street interest rates for you
