I am assuming that you are both in interlocking IVA's --- so, yes, it could be a problem, if it has been causing problems with the budget, or likely to do so. Hopefully you can nip this in the bud by taking steps to stop it. Maybe by going to G.A and by blocking himself from online gambling sites.

At best, the gambling is eating into your household budgets meaning you have less to deal with essential outgoings, which will be detrimental inthe long run.

Also it may show up on your bank statements which will need some explaining away.

I had a gambling problem which led to me ending up over my head and on an IVA. My book 'the insanity of gambling' explores my journey up to that point. From 10th to 12th February I have arranged for the book to be free to kindle users. I have never been interested in making money, but an awareness of the mental side that gambling can effect. The book has humour attached, hence a conversation or two with my IVA supervisors, I should perhaps have said more about how this was the best thing I ever did, I will drop this in - in a future book.

I should point out, gambling is not the culprit, done correctly with money you can afford to lose, it brings pleasure to a lot of peoples lives. Its the temperament of some unsuspecting punters that, unfortunately, fall foul of it, in which case, you hope its only money you lose, because a lot more that this is at stake.
