Insured oven door glass

I entered into a IVA a couple of weeks ago and during my run of things going wrong my oven door glass shattered
My insurance company said it was covered and offered me a settlement but when I spoke to them they asked questions about my IVA
Surely they can just replace and make good
Now they are back peddling over my claim

Depends what it says in the T&C's - is this house insurance or product insurance?

It's my contents insurance
They haven't said no as such yet but I had to ring to accept settlement
They asked a number of questions which was all the same as when I renewed my policy except since I took it out my IVA was put in place so now it has to go to the underwriters
It is only a small claim but see what happens

Worst thing about having a IVA is you feel ashamed so you can't talk over your situation with family or friends but on the plus side my finances are now manageable

Some insurance companies can be funny about IVA's. If you have paperwork I would check that.

Pleased to say that I worried over nothing my insurance company have agreed to pay less excess
Just make sure that in the small print you tell them you have a IVA
