My Creditor meeting was yesterday afternoon and I spent all day anxiously checking my emails to see what the outcome was. Rang them at 5:30 in the end as I couldn't concentrate on anything (it was also my birthday yesterday so not the best way to spend the day filled with anxiety) and they told me that it was adjourned due to one creditor asking for an extension to vote. Should I be worried? I feel like the only thing that would make them wait for just one vote would be if that was the deciding vote? Has anyone else come up against this?

This is a common factor with CF -- they always seem to have adjournments for one reason or another ( often as they try to do things differently from the, up to now, accepted norm). That said they usually pull things round.

Thank you for replying Foggy. We've just rung them to find out whats going on and they are now telling us that it will be another couple of days before we hear anything, bit of a joke really if they all finished the vote today! Don't think these companies realise or care about how much anxiety these things cause and dragging it on just makes it worse.

Anxious times, I remember it well. Hopefully by weekend you will be in a much more positive position with your iva approved.

Well, spoke to Creditfix on Monday evening to be told that it would be a few days before they could give us the outcome. Sent an email to them as I was getting so anxious I needed some answers and received and email yesterday afternoon to say that there was no update yet but they will be in touch as soon as possible. Just had a call to tell me that my part of the IVA was approved but the creditor that holds the largest percent of my husbands part of the IVA is disputing the terms from Creditfix (fees!!) and that there is nothing they can do about the fees so they are going to have to pass it on to their 'sister' company. I'm so annoyed as they must have known that this company have previously had issues with the fees so why have they even taken on our case in the first place!

Creditfix always put their fees ahead of everything else and it IS something they can change! They are, I gather , the highest charging provider.

Were I in your shoes I would tell them to forget it and I would go elsewhere rather than be shunted from one shambolic mess to another.

Their sister company is not based in the UK and I would be very careful about agreeing anything before your information is passed on.

I totally agree - give CF the heave ho and start again.
