Hi I’m writing this on behalf on my partner. Her mum has offered to get a loan to pay off the remaining balance of her IVA . Is her other allowed to do this ? Could she wait for the result of the meeting then get the loan or do the funds need to be sat in the bank waiting?

The funds do need to be in place and she will need to tell the company that the money is only available for a full and final and will be withdrawn if the offer is not accepted.

There's nothing preventing this happening and plenty of people have done it....just make sure you have all your ducks in a row as Kallis mentions.

Out of interest we are offering 10k and she has just under 3 years left @£278 a month .. that’s a got a good chance hasn’t it ?

They are getting what they signed up for, so it has every chance. Although, there is always that caveat that you cannot guarantee which way the coin will fall until the day.
