They have not agreed to amend the entry at this time, as they have asked if you could please contact them directly regarding this entry before they take any action.

They have provided the following response to the dispute we raised on your behalf:

An IVA will remain on your credit files for 6 years from the start date, even if it finishes early.

What you need to do is to check that your former IP sent the completion paperwork to the Insolvency Service and that you have been removed from the Insolvency Register,so that, in the fullness of time, you will clear your credit files on the 6th anniversary.

Hi Foggy and that your for advice, so what do you mean by former IP? And regarding sending the completion paperwork to the Insolvency Service, it's the IVA company that has sent me the certificate of completion and I have sent that to Equifax and experian.
Thank you

Hi Harry. Former IP is the supervisor of your IVA, who issued the completion certificate.

When an IVA completes and the certificate is issued the IP sends you a copy. He also sends a copy to the Insolvency Service, so that you can be removed from the Insolvency Register. The Insolvency Service then tells the credit reference agencies that the IVA is finished. As you have discovered the credit reference agencies will not listen to you.

Now, even though the IVA is finished, it will remain showing on your credit files for 6 years from the start.

From information you have given us privately I have been able to find what I think might be your entry on the Insolvency Register, which still shows as 'current' ---- it should show 'completed'. This makes me think that your IP has either forgotten to tell the Insolvency Service about the completion, the IVA hasn't been formally completed and what you have isn't actually the completion certificate, or that the paperwork has been misplaced somewhere You should ask your IP to send out duplicates.
