Settlement offer

I have been in my IVA for 2 years, I have recently had a change in circumstances- my step son is now living with me full time meaning my living costs have increased quite rapidly. He is in full time education, and although he would like to work to help support himself financially, he suffers from cerebral Palsy which does restrict him somewhat. I need to continue to support my son who does not get any support from his father (my ex-husband), or his mother who he is no longer in contact with.
I have in recent months experienced a string of bad luck were my house is concerned, my boiler has broken and had to be replaced, as well as the replacement of 2 radiators and a kitchen sink which were all broken. My fence blew down beyond repair, which had to be replaced. As well as a leak in my kitchen which is going to require the concrete under my floor be ripped out.
Due to the issues I have been having and my Son moving in with me full time, this has caused serious financial strain and I am now behind on my council tax by £500.00. I have spoken with my mortgage company who have agreed to offer me a break of my payments for 2 months to help me pay for the extensive costs of my recent and ongoing repairs. This does mean that my mortgage payments are going to increase in the future.
My remaining payments are £4744.00 and my grandparents have kindly offered to pay £4000.00 to settle my IVA early. I am however a homeowner with very little equity in my home, but the guy I spoke to at creditfix did not mention that- or any further payments.
I have outlined the issues I have been having and advised that I will struggle to keep up with payments and fear my IVA will fail. Do you think I have a chance of being accepted? Any advice would be very much appreciated, this process is just vile. Thanks.
