I'm so sorry to hear of your husband's ill helath. You'll find it difficult to obtain a mortgage with the IVA still on your credit files, and it'll be on there for A period of six years from the date of approval even if it completes earlier than expected.

I'm no expert on mortgage issues, but there are a few members on here that are, so I would await their response.

Expert mortgage advice is required

The forum has a couple of experts who have supported those in ivas through the process of getting mortgages.

Hi rachael558
There are lenders open to you, even with the IVA still showing on your credit report. You will need to seek the help of a mortgage broker who knows how to deal with people in your position.
