Partners windfall paid into joint account

My partner recently won x amount on a gambling site and withdrew the funds to our joint account that we use for all our bills and that my wages get paid into.
My 1 year review is due in September so this x amount will show in my statement as being paid into the account. I can prove it was withdrawn to her bank card for the account but that’s about it.
Will this affect my Iva ?

Presumably she could show that the money deposited in the joint account came from a betting account in her name --- betting account statements for instance --- in which case there should be no issue.

It would only affect your IVA if it could not be proven that the money is hers, or if her income has been used to arrive at your IVA payment ( a few firm use household income, rather than the individuals sole income).

Yes so the betting account is all in her name, nothing to do with me… has her email address and her bank card.
But all I can find to prove that it’s hers is that on the bank statement it has the last 4 digits of her bank card that she withdrew it too… should that be enough ?

It will depend on your IP / case handler as to what they will accept as proof ..... if, indeed, they even notice it in the first place. How much are we talking ? If less than £500 there would be no issue anyway.

They will notice it… it’s a few thousand 😂
Surely they should accept that it’s her card as proof. They’ll have too it’s her money not mine

What a lucky lady !

All you can do is present the facts and let them know... hopefully they will acknowledge and move on
