Will the money my father transferred to me be looked at on IVA review?

Hi Everyone

I hope you might be able to put my mind at ease. I’m approaching the first anniversary of my IVA, and things are going well but I had wondered about one thing.
Earlier this year my Dad became quite unwell (he’s doing better now) and couldn’t really get out and about at all. He asked me if I would mind getting some birthday presents for him to give to various family members (grandkids, sister etc). He knew exactly what he wanted and it was just a matter of me going to pay and collect. He’s not a fan of online shopping. He transferred the money for these purchases into my account and then I went and got what he needed. This happened 3 times since about February. Will this be a problem? Two of those times were for about £100 and one was for £200 (3 grandkids born in June)! Would I need to prove that he transferred the money for that purpose? My concern is that there’s no way to show that he hasn’t just been giving me money and I’ve been spending it on myself! It honestly hadn’t occurred to me at the time that this might be an issue.

I’d appreciate any insight

Many Thanks

I am sure that any reasonable IP would accept the explanation you have given here -- if they even notice ! You are generally allowed 'windfalls' of under £500 anyway.

You can explain to your IP about this and it doesn't come under the £500 windfall clause so don't think it will be a problem.

I doubt it will be questioned ...its a reasonable practice and not one that is going to raise concern.in my opinion. If it had been £2000 then maybe...
