Hi, I have an IVA meeting booked 12th Jan. I've been in breathing space, but it's now over. I have a bailiff on my tail, will they still call if the meeting is booked?

They can still call but all you have to do is tell them what is happening. If it is a physical visit from bailiffs rather than debt collectors then do not let them onto your property. Make sure all windows and doors are locked. Also tell your IP about this.

It's a physical visit. I won't let them in, but will they go away? Or keep trying? I have a very low value car!

To add to matters my father passed away 22nd December. My Mum had to borrow to pay for the simple cremation. I have no money and no where to get any! Timing sucks but I just want this IVa sorted.

As long as you don't let them have access to your property they can do nothing. I doubt the value of the car would cover your debts. Get your IP to speak to them and tell them what is happening.

They will take a low value car so you need to make sure it is left in a locked garage or a long way away from your house.

Depends whether it is on finance or not.

It is possible but most very low value cars are not on finance.

I have, in the past, had low value cars on finance. Couldn't afford to do it any other way. They weren't the best.
