Hi, sorry to bring up this boiler yet again, still not had the bill but feel it's going to be around the 1k mark, sorted out the payment of it along with the help and guidance of my IP. What I want to know now is, what do you good people think of boiler cover insurance? worth it, can I add this to my I&E for future purpose? It's approximately £9-£12 per month. Just wondering really as I really don't want to be in this position again as all the worry has really affected me. Any thoughts Melanie on the payment aspect and any thoughts on the value of it from other posters more than welcome.

Hi is there an end

Glad you are getting things sorted out with your boiler - there's nothing worse than not having hot water or heating is there? I would say boiler cover is worth its weight in gold - we have it and it is included in our Income and Expenditure Schedule. I wouldn't hesitate.

I have cover on a few things and they were included in my original I and E. I must say at the moment I am if having to renew anything now I am taking the insurance, mainly so that I know I can get through the next four years without major expense. Telly, washing machine and dryer, freezer is heading for 5 years old so I daresay at some point that will go on me, cooker was covered before, and so was dyson. Dishwasher I guess is not a necessity ( though it is in my eyes as the other half wont do it, great excuse he gets tingly hands Ahh) Just hope it lasts me.
I would think it might be worth it for something as expensive as a boiler. Luckily I rent so the housing association covers me for that.

Hi to you isthereanend,

Boiler cover is definately worth having and if it helps it may pay you to look at www.domgen.com. They offer various policies on domestic appliances, including boilers. You select the cover to meet your purse strings and at the same time can rest a little easier knowing the cover is there for the future. Hope that helps you in some way.

Hi Isthereanend,

I totally agree that cover for Central Heating and Boiler is a must. I don't normally bother with extending warranties on the usual things, washing machines, etc but I think the cover on your boiler definitely makes sense.
