Hi sjo and welcome to the forum

As IVAs were originally designed with the self-employed trader in mind, it is definately possible to propose one if you work for yourself.

Do make sure that you choose an insolvency practitioner to represent you with experience of dealing with self-employed cases.

Melanie, would you be able to suggest any with the experience you speak of as I think my circumstances may be helped considering the properties etc that I have.

I would suggest you try one of the smaller more specialist companies rather than a large, volume processor. Sorry, I am not allowed to endorse other IPs, or promote my own practice, on the forum - but you could try looking at www.iva.com for feedback posted on companies generally.

Hello there

Melanie is not able to tout for business on the forum.

However if you spend just 5 minutes looking at some of the stunning reviews from delighted clients - not to moetion the 1,000's of people she has helped through the forum - you could do no better than to review the case with her tomorrow.

I think its even more important when you are self employed to find a very competant IP, in my opinion you can do no better than Melanie.
Have a look at review on www.iva.com (of which mine is one of ma)
Good luck[:)]

As many have, I went there but I cant see how to get the details without effectively submitting a full application. Is there a way around this?
