I am stunned, rec'd a really nice supportive letter today from Capital One saying they will work with the IP as the proposal progresses, and if for any reason IVA is rejected to contact to look at options.

Saying they will support me in the whole process as they understand the IVA will give me peace of mind.

I nearly fell over when I read it - I think Capital One will be voting yes by the sound of the letter.

Heres hoping - dont suppose I will get very many more letters of support lol.

Fantastic - what a nice surprise and change.
Although I'm sure that alot of companies are pro IVA - it's just a shame they don't all act like Capital One and send out supportive letters, instead of us all having to live on a knife edge with horrible calls and letters until it is all sorted.

Hi - yes it is refreshing when this sort of very rare thing does happen! I've had an IVA for almost a year now and Cap 1 were one of my creditors too - I must admit I found them very helpful and understanding in the run up to my iva - they were prepared to accept anything as a token payment (even £5) until iva was sorted, they also froze interest so the situation couldnt worsen and didnt hassle me with 20 phone calls a day!
Other creditors who I also found very supportive were Next and Tesco finance. Just hope you don't have anything with American Express as seriously they were quite threatening and it ended up where I had to report them to the consumer credit people!
Good Luck - am sure you'll be fine.

In my experience Capital One are pretty supportive of IVAs (although they do drive a hard bargain when it comes to the fees of the Nominee![:)])

Funny you should say that about littlewoods - they rang me yesterday to ask for payment and I kindly told them I had just had an IVA agreed (Littlewoods did NOT vote!!) - and that they would hear etc shortly.
She was very nice and thanked me, and took the details and then...... asked again when I was going to pay them!!!!
Not sure she quite grasped what I had said!

They sent [that] letter out as standard. They can vote against an IVA. I know a friend with only 500 quid owning out of 90K plus and C1 voted against the IVA??

When they got outvoted they got angry and sent a bemoaning letter to confrim the IVA was in breach of the Consumer credit agreement - so they will issue a default notice.

What was the purpose of this letter other than to have last word. No other Banks had even bothere to sent a notice where the default was eminent as the IVA had been approved.

I think if its only a small amount, they probably won't even bother to vote.

Hi Capital One were fair and fine with me all the way to the meeting and then said 'NO' which I found odd, it still went through with votes from other creditors though.

Hi again

When you say Capital One "rejected" did they actually vote that way, or did they vote to accept but with a Fee restriction that the IP couldn't accept, which turned the vote into a rejection?

I had the same letter from C1 last year. They rang me a few times but on the whole were not to bad. At my creditors meeting they added a mod which was declined so their yes vote was changed in to a no. The only nightmare creditor I had was Amex, as soon as I tod them what I was doing I had a letter from them saying they were going to start legal procedings. Lucky my IVA was approved before it could go any further.

I am just glad to get a nice letter for a change after recieving a CCJ claim form yesterday.

Capital only hold about 3% of my votes, but its nice that they look to be being supportive even if its a front.

None of my creditors can ring me cause we changed to Virgin to get cheaper package and changed number into the bargain. If I have to ring any creditor I give them our old number lol.

I got everything crossed for the 3rd, I am sure will get your date thru soon ang.
