things have been quiet for a few weeks on the creditor letter and phonecall front, however, today i received 1 x 'pre escalation notice, 1 x threat of defuault notice and 1 x actual default notice. all of my forms are complete and am just waiting to hear from payplan for creditor meeting date, but what should i do with this default notice? should i be worried about doorstep collection? and, when creditor meeting date set does that stop default notice '17 days to comply' action? any help. thanks[:(]

I would forward the letters to your IP as soon as possible.
The default wont matter if your IVA is accepted as your credit rating would have already been affected.
As for doorstep collectors, it probably wont happen. Usually the letters are sent to scare you into paying something. Even if they did come, dont let them in just simply inform them that you are applying for an IVA and your IP will be intouch soon. Or even pass the details of your IP on to them.
Dont worry.

Hi rollercoster
A default notice is just to inform you that youre in breached of the agreement you signed. they cant proceed with any other action until this has been done. To be honest I found it scary when I first had one, but my house ended up looking like an explosion in a nasty letter factory. And I knew another forrest was going to be rammed through the door the very next day. So I would just forward it to your IP. They wont come knocking at the door, you are doing all you can at the moment. I think the way these letters are worded, with all the scary words in bold is meant to strike fear and shame you into paying something.
Dont worry about it.
It takes a long time to sell a debt, they usually call on debt collecters first.

thanks for that[:)] this site has reassured me not to panic too much and what will be will be. just gotta keep holding on. just seems strange that we had a few weeks quiet period and they all start again at the same time, they must get together for maximum pressure.[;)]
