I recently met with a company called 'DebtFreeMe' to discuss the possibility of an IVA etc., Has anyone had any dealings with them either good or bad? I had wanted to include personal tax liability from 2006 and 2007 but they asked that I sort this out myself...
I don't feel that I can work with the Inland Revenue direct as they are all less than human...

I am surprised that they will not review the Inland Revenue position as until you have a clear handle on your liabiities then how can you select the correct solution to your debt problem.
Suggest you talk with a forum expert or other parties who will find look at the whole picture and work out what is best for you.
All the best alan

The debt due to HMRC should definately be included and if you are dealing with a company who is suggesting otherwise then I suggest that you contact an insolvency practitioner with experience of self-employed people and HMRC debts.
To suggest that this debt be left outside ought to send warning signals to anyone taking advice from this particular firm who do not appear to employ any insolvency practitioners.

Hi
I get the feeling that the tax area is too complicated for this particular company and you have been given poor advise from them.
Time to look for another IVA provider
