I know I asked this question the other day and got some advice but I am still not sure what to do. My husband as an arrangement (not IVA) withhis creditors originally through cab but now done on review directly through himself. HFC keep asking for reviews at different times to others and we have asked them to do it at the same time as it messes the payments up. He had a review last year (prob June ish) and payments reduced to 59 pounds which he has been paying ever since. He got a snotty call 2 weks ago saying he is in arrears as he was supposed to be paying 106. The calls are always from diffent people and the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. He explained that he was not supposed to be paying 106 and that he was up to date. They asked for a review which we have done and funnily enough it shows reduced payment to 35 now because of change of income. My dilemma is - payment due to today - does he pay original 59 but does that seem like we can afford to keep paying that by virtue of paying that today or does he pay 35 even though we haven't heard from them again.

By the way - we are probably going to look to sorting things out jointly soon anyway.

Hi
I would pay the £35,that way you are paying each creditor the same pro rata.
You are aware that there is no protection from HFC taking legal action but as you have paid something each and every month I doubt that they will take this route.

Hi

Just to say that I had HFC as a creditor too, part of HSBC and they are really aggressive callers, I had exactly the same problem with them constantly phoning and changing amounts. I dont think its a case of what you pay them, they are just never satisfied, they tied me up in knots. They even took a payment on the 15th and then said they had 'accidentally' put a post dated one for the 30th for the same amount which I couldnt afford. I think they will just say anything and do anything to extract as much as they can.

Stick to your guns and pay whats been agreed if they get away with messing your agreed payments up they will keep doing it. I had my phone cut off as they were causing so much stress.

Thanks for the help.

Andy - I know we have to sort things out properly soon and we are making headway with that. I think we going to look at sorting them out jointly rather than independently.
