Hi,
I spoke to my IvA company today. My iva is under assesment as a result of redundancy leading to a reduced income. I sent them as much info as possible and made it quite clear that husband is due a redundancy payment and we would contact them as soon as we had been given a figure.
Today we had a letter requesting information on how we have utilised the redundancy money my husband received.(do they actually read our letters properly?)
I explained that we have not received the money yet and was then told all the redundancy money is to be handed over to creditors.
I explained that due to my husband not receiving any money we have not paid the mortgage so will need to use some to clear the arrears, i was then told this 'may' be allowed.
I am also really scared, although my husband has not been paid his normal wages over the past two months he has recieved a little bit of money from new employment and a token payment from old employer totalling to £500, this has been used to purchase printer for CV's,make his car in good order for new job and purchase smart office clothes for new job.(did not need them before so did not have any.)
Do you think this will jepoardise our IVA, the fact that for a month
our budget went out the window and we needed to purchase these items. We do have receipts as proof.
Thanks so much, feel much better for writing it down.
