Hi,

My annual review should have been this month but I've heard nothing. But then I haven't heard much from them during the year anyway. Never spoke to the same person twice during the set up process.

Are they required to do an annual review? First dividend isn't due until the end of year three.

Unlike Melanie my IP never answers emails even when they are sent directly to him and heaven forbid he'd take a call.

Suits me though and nothings changed so I think I'll just sit it out.

Your IP has up to two months following the anniversary to complete their review and report to you and your creditors.

Grant Thornton are a very good company, but I don't think that their IPs ever speak to clients. There should be a support team in place to deal with these queries though, so I would wait and see what happens, and this does not really affect you in any case so long as you keep up with the payments.

Hi, Melanie

Still no annual review. I'm making payments each month and my circumstances haven't changed. But I did wonder if any of my creditors might make a fuss. Most are still reporting on my credit file each month.

As we've discussed before there is no dividend until the end of year three and my guess is no claims have been verified. Maybe there will be a sudden flury of activity then.
regards and thanks

I am also with GT, had a pain-free set up, but they are hard to pin down. Makes you wonder what the level of service is likely to be in the future, now they have taken on extra cases from elsewhere.

I haven't heard from them in 7 months. Not complaining but as you say they do seem to be taking on more and more cases.
I wonder how they'd deal with a variation request though.

Clearstart don't delay with reviews, mines due in April and the paperwork all arrived this morning - tis a bit of a pain because al fixed costs rise from 01/04, but I haven't received notification of all yet, eg council tax, so hard to evidence new monthly expenditure - might just delay sending until all costs confirmed....

Don't think I'd mind skipping the annual review, but I do like receiving the official summary of progress from my IP. Keeping our own excel record is goo, but seeing the debt reducing officially gives me a bit of a boost!

Hi Cat and Caraf,

Unsure why email delays of up to two weeks, mine are always answered within 24 hours, though admittedly only once I asked for direct email addresses rather than the group mailbox one.

After each annual review you receive details of any change to required payments and a statement summarising all payments made, dispersalls to your creditors and months remaining etc....makes you feel like progress is bing made!

From what I've read Caraf, review requirements seem to vary, even within companies. CS have never asked me for bank statements for example, but do ask for copies of latest utility bills, council tax, rent/mortgage payments etc...all the usual, but not for evidence of other expenditure like food, petrol etc, which seem to be taken on trust. As I send our payslips in monthly they only ask for the most recent of those too.

They provide an I&E for for you to complete, which amazed me the first time as the list included all sorts of things that weren't on our initial I&E but were relevant costs. I filled it in and there were no quibbles, payments incresed by exactly the amount I'd calculated.

Hope this helps...

Martin
