Hi,

I am looking to become an independant mortgage adviser. However, I have a default recently registered on my file. Will this prevent me from being an independant adviser??

Thank you

Hi Mark and welcome to the forum

That question is probably better directed to the FSA who will be able to confirm whether this would prevent you from following your chosen career.

Hi mark

Good luck with the career.

Am confident that a default will not affect your chosen career.

I have a coupld of mortgage brokers who have entered into a Full & Final IVA and after advising the "authorities "about the situation they have been fine.

I understand taht it is the authorised person i the firm that deems you fit and proper .

Good luck with the exams
