I have sorted out a new account with Lloyds TSB in preparation for sorting my affairs and thats all ok - just moving all direct debits and salary over the next few weeks.
My account with Barclays has overdrafts which would obviously become part of any arrangement - would they get annoyed and talk to my new bank and mess the whole thing up.

Hi elizabethr
I hope you are feeling well today..?
I was worried about this exact same thing as the co op organised the transfer of my wages, direct debits to my new account for me.
That was back in November and nothing has happend so far, I really think the banks are to busy to be phoning round doing this kind of thing...maaye due to data protection they are unable to do this anyway?
Try not to worry too much about everything[:)]

I think they would be prevented from doing so by the Data Protection Act.
