Once again I got no post this morning. That's good I guess [:D] I still find myself walking to the door when I see him coming, it's strange when he just walks by LOL. Ah well at least he is less at risk of a hernia now he no longer has to deliver my credit card statements [8)]

It's great isn't it.
I don't know why, but most of our debt related post used to arrive on a Saturday.
I have noticed our postie no longer walks with a stoop.

Today I saw the postman lean his bike up my railings, live in a street with ten houses, went to a lot of the other houses! Not mine! Think this is my first day of no post! You're right though lovely feeling

Now, if we could only do something to stop all the Readers Digest free prize draw crap that drops on the doormat, i would be a happy man.

That to me was one of the best things after iva was accepted - think my postie was extra pleased also. They give him a van for my round as it is a village but he aalays needed to park right outside my house and he walked to everyone elses[:I]

I send it back to them, marked no longer at this address, any junk mail I get , I use marker pen and pop it straight back in post box without opening it. To be fair I don't get much and that is probably why! lol

ps.
This thread title, "The postman walks by", reminds
me of the film with jack nicholson, where he gives kathleen turner what looks like cookery lessons on the kitchen table.
totally iva unrelated i know, but a pleasant few minutes daydreaming anyway.

you lot sure do make me laugh.
poor posties they should be given a pay rise with us lot about.
i find my stomach churning when i see our postman coming.
today i only received my IVA pack from melanie through the post so i could cope with that as i knew it was the first steps to help.

I have always said that the relief of none of that post is one of the best things I felt about my iva. I used to dread the sound of letters through the front door. Now I sulk cos we hardly get any.lol.

I am ashamed to say I used to leave credit card statements, bank statements unopened for months, dreading the content [:I]

Not the only one maxdebt, I used to put them in the kitchen drawer unopened as well, like you unless I needed to look at them, they stayed.
