i thought i'd post question here rather than email my IP as I want to try and get as much stuff together over the weekend while i can and i'm assuming melanies team don't work on a weekend.
i've just received my pack today for everything i need to send to start the IVA process.
most debtors want it in writing to send me my current balances so i've got all them ready to post today.
on the letter it says i need original loan agreements and mortgage redemption.
i might sound thick here but what the mortgage redemption? i phoned my mortage company yesterday for a statement which they charged me £20 for now i'm wondering if i'll have to pay another £20 for this redemption thing.
i also don't have my original loan agreements. but ihave requested my balances. what can i do?

thanks

Hello Connie. I can answer the original loan agreement question. I had to contact LLoydsTSB, Barclays and RBOS directly and ask them to send me copies of the original agreements. LLoyds and Barclays sent them out quick RBOS needed a few phone calls to remind them.

thanks for that. i've just been on the phone to barclays to try and get a balance sent out and i can't seem to get through to the right person. the person i spoke to said he can't find my loan because its been closed. so i was told to ring back monday.
hopefully they'll have lost me haha (wishful thinking)
to be honest barclays have never hassled me once for money. i got a letter about arrears in the very beginning but they've never been in touch since. the just accept my dmp every month and my largest debt is with them. yet the people my smallest debt are with are so nasty when they phone and write. isn't it strange.

does anyone know the address to write to for barclays debt management section? i can't find it anywhere on their website.

i'll ask them for loan agreements at the same time then. did you have to pay for them?

I had to get a copy of a loan agreement from Egg and I wasn't charged for it.

I found the same as you Connie - I owed Natwest the most (£27k) and they were fine whereas Littlewoods (£80) were a pain in the bum.
