Just when you think things are on the up, something always comes along. My husbands lost his job for the second time in 8 months.Last time he got another job straight away hope he's as lucky this time.Im going to phone my ip tomorrow an hope he offers me a payment break otherwise god knows what Il do.A friend has told me that if you have to go bankrupt bailiffs come to your house, so now Im worried sick about that too.Was just about to pay my 24th payment and thought I was getting somewhere.

So sorry to hear that, and let's hope that he finds something else quickly. Your friend is very ill-informed about bankruptcy proceedings - this process is there to avoid bailiff action and not to result in it. In many circumstances bankruptcy can be viewed as a better option, so discuss this with your IP to at least find out proper facts about the procedure.

I am sure that he will Hallway. Payment breaks of up to three months can usually be arranged relatively easily if he has a chat with his IP.

Thanks to all of you for your good wishes.Phoned office yesterday said they'll let me know if I can have a payment break or not soon. They said to just try and make a token payment for now.

I would not even bother with a token payment. Your IP should allow a payment break given the circumstances. Let us know here if you have any problems - there are a number of ways to get this in place so don't worry too much.

I agree, your IP should just let you have a payment break and not ask for token payments.
