I have made my mind up to chnage from an IVA to bankruptcy (if interested my posts are on here titled IVA - Is it for me)
**.
I just have a question: Do i have to let the IVA company (Synergi) know what i am doing? I have a feeling that they will try and persuade me not to go for bankruptcy and i dont want that conversation with them.
Really appriciate someones advice.
Cheers

Out of courtesy to your existing provider you ought to tell them of your intent. But you don't need to get dragged into lengthy dialogue - just tell them you have changed your mind and that is that!

Hi Melanie
Once again you come to my rescue, thank you. So it wouldnt go against me to tell them after i have made the appointment at the courts?

I was in an IVA for 4 months and then went BR. I spoke to my IP and he advised me to go BR, so I told him when I was planning on doing it and that I would no longer be paying into my IVA so I could save the money for the BR fees. Good luck Jhonnie, and if you have any questions please post and someone will be able to answer.

Yes good luck Jhonnie.
And as skippy says ask any questions you have along the way, skippy is very supportive and helped me a lot on the run up to my BR as did many others

Hi Jhonnie,
All you need to do is let Synergi know that you have now decided to go bankrupt, have you paid them any money? If so you may not get this back, but you could always double check.
Dont feel like you have to make excuses or reasons to Synergi as to why you are going bankrupt, its your choice.
Best Regards. IVA Experts
