Hi Everyone - I have not posted on here for a while- work commitments and all that!

I thought I would just fill you all in as to what has been happening these past weeks and to thank everyone for their kind words and support.

As you know, I was in a very strong position to remortgage my property and offer a F & F to my IVA. Unfortunately, due to the increase in interest rates and the crash in the States, sub-prime lending has hit an all time high, which means the interest rate offered on this remortgage is just too much for me to entertain. I did go back to my solicitor about this and we have agreed that the best option for me is to go BR. It is not something that I wanted to do, but I just cannot see myself continuing along the path of funding the IVA (which I am struggling with at the moment) and pay my secured creditors at the same time. Coming to this decision was one of the hardest things I have had to do, but without the support of my very loving partner, there is no way I would have done it.

So I guess I am going to be posting quite a bit on here, asking questions which will no doubt drive you all mad!!!!!

I would like to give a very special thanks to a company that has of late started posting on here - and that is "mikedomain" and in particular Jamie Watts. I spoke to him on the phone yesterday and was treated with utmost respect, was given very sound advice regarding mortgages and what my options were post BR. Thank you.

I will keep posting on here and share my experience along with all the others.

Sue

Oh Sue, I'm sorry it's come to this. You have tried so hard to carry on with your IVA against all the odds. I'm sure when you actually go BR it will be a great weight off your mind and you can really start to move on and enjoy life.

If you have any questions post away, you know we'll all help you.

Good luck x

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.
