My creditors meeting is on Monday 7th September 2009 and hopefully it will be accepted. Just want the letters and phonecalls to stop. our proposal gives creditors 29p in the pound. Hopefully it's not to low. We are with payplan who I have no issues with.

Hi there danny4 and a very warm welcome to the forum, good luck for the 7th. Some of our posters are with payplan and they talk highly of them so you're in safe hands, let us know how you get on won't you.

Good luck for Monday - I'm sure it will be fine.

My IVA was accepted at 23p in the pound - I still got a few phone calls and letters for a few weeks after accepted but I was able to tell them my IVA was accepted and that shut them up. Hardly get any post now and when the phone rings it is a friend.

Stay strong and positive

We are with Payplan and have had no problems at all with them so far.

Good luck for Monday. I won't be around to congratulate you as I will be on holiday (first one in four years!) but I'm sure you will be ok.

Thankyou for all your support and not long now. If somebody doesn't bother voting is it counted at all or just ignored?

The votes that are cast are counted and added up. If carried then anyone who has not voted is still bound, but if it is a close vote and rejected then your IP would probably adjourn and go back to them to encourage them to vote.

Regards.

Only the votes that are received are counted so you have to achieve support in excess of 75% of creditors voting at the meeting. So for example, if you have total debts of £15k but only 1 vote turns up from a creditor owed £2k, you have 100% support.

My creditors are northern rock
Sainsburys
MBNA

Waht are these usually like to deal with

They are generally supportive of VA's if it is the appropriate way to go, although N/Rock do have criteria for homeowners who have mortgages with them that need to be borne in mind and MBNA may vote against if you could otherwise clear the debts within 10 years via a DMP.
