Hi All...

I have just had confirmation of my IVA been completed due to a F&F payment.

Its ended 3 years of pretty tough times but im lucky that I was able to get out early due to some unexpected funds. I wanted to say a big thankyou to everyone on the Forum for all the assistance. I have not posted regularly but ths forum is amazing as are all involved. I took a lot of hope during times when as we all do it feels as though you are in it alone and so much amazing advice from everyone who takes the time to respond and help people on here. Its really appreciated.

I would also like to say that my IP through it all Whitemaund in brighton were truly brilliant. I had a few variations along the way due to changed circumstances with work, children and breakup of a relationship. Throughout it all they were supportive, understanding, never threatning and above all professional in everything they did.

I do have some final questions on how it works now im out of the IVA.

1. Will I be removed from the public register?
2. Will this removal result in my credit file being updated to remove the IVA or will my credit rating still suffer for the time being?
3. Will I have to write to my creditors to update the status of my debt as cleared and also the likes of Experian etc?

Thanks again and if anyone can help with these questions I would be as ever very grateful for the help!!

Excellent news and well done for completing.

To answer your questions:

1. You should come off the register within three months. Just keep checking to make sure.

2 and 3. You won't have to write to your creditors as they will be aware that the IVA has completed. Your IVA will show on your credit rating until 6 years after the date of acceptance, regardless of the fact that you have paid it off early.

Check with the CRAs to make sure that none of your creditors defaulted you after the date of acceptance. If they did then you need to write to them and tell them to remove the defaults.
