Hi everyone, after 72 Months in my IVA my last payment leaves the bank tomorrow!
I will definitely be having a drink tomorrow evening to celebrate, and I am looking forward to the New Year and not having to worry about that payment every month and having the money in my bank every month instead.
I have not been on holiday for 6 years so next year we are planning a week away somewhere.
SO if you have just started or are half way through just keep at it you will get there in the end!.

Well done and good luck for the holiday.
I just came back on Sat night from my first holiday abroad in 7 year (the last was to get married) and it was the first time I had ever been abroad on my own and paid for from money saved up rather than on credit.
Wherever you get to go to just enjoy the time together and the start of the rest of your lives debt free.

That's it the payment has left the bank and I have cancelled the Standing Order!, DFD told me to cancel it in case by accident any more payments get taken.

Hi everyone just a quick update as you know my last payment was at the begging of December with DFD.
I am a bit annoyed as I am still awaiting my CC I have contacted them twice as they say it takes 6 months but I am just a little disappointing as I have had no contact or anything from it is if I don't exist but my life is still on hold without my CC I am still on the insolvency register and I just don't think it's fair.
I completed all PPI's during my IVA and did everything to the letter.
When I spoke with DFD on the phone I was told I have done everything I just have to wait.
I just cant understand why it ends up taking so long it will be 7 months in a week or so so just a bit down at the minute was hoping to be over all the this now but still feel trapped.

Congratulations on finish the Iva. Mine too was a 72 month one. I made my last payment 26th march and received my completion certificate end of May so only took 2 months. I was also removed from insolvency register at same time. My ip was Aperture formerly grant Thornton and had no problems what so ever. I just dont understand why some companies drag their heels and say atleast 6 months?

Contact Laura from DPD sharky - her details are under the expert link on the left and she is usually good at sorting out queries.
Otherwise just keep pestering them until they get fed up of you!!

All too often it is he who shouts loudest and whilst not right, it does on occasion work.
7 months is too long in my humble opinion and do ask what the hold up is.

Yes I must sound daft as people will be thinking what is the problem your finished paying so what is the issue..
I just need closer and to get on with my life and I feel that letter shows I have actually completed something in my life I have never really finished anything but this was a challenge I did not want to fail and I did it! I proved to myself I could do it.
I am like a kid waiting for the postman every day and when nothing comes I feel a bit down about it.
I will start contacting them weekly about this as it needs to be sorted.
Thanks for eveyone's comments as always!.

Of course you want closure!!! Once you've got that you can move on.

Once you get closure you can definitely move on and put this behind you. Hoping it's not too long for you now.
