hi all
I need an opinion on a couple of things. The last four months I have been having my annual review (no idea why its taken so long)and whilst this has gone on my IP co. has adjusted my payments which is in their remit to do. At the end of it all for the third year in a row I have agreed payments above what my affordability calculator says I can do as long as a note has been put on my case stating this and it is taken account of towards the end of my IVA.
This morning I get a letter demanding £140 for underpayments to be paid in the next 14 days. Apoplectic would be a minor understatement! I don't see how I can have underpaid when my payments where entirely controlled by my IP. I've really struggled the whole time and am a very ill man (in fact I'm delaying surgery until this has ended this year)I have met all asked of me only to have this metaphorical kick in the balls. My house is knackered and falling down around me and I struggle to give my son everything he needs. what are peoples thoughts on the likelihood of what will happen?
The ridiculous thing is I'd have paid all my debts off without an IVA had it not been for huge amounts of missold PPI, I diddn't need or want but was forced to take.

Sounds like a bit of a mix up or miss-communication. I would suggest that you drop Michael Peoples an email and ask him to look at this to get it sorted once and for all. Your firm is highly regarded and is very much on the side of it's clients (which cannot be said for all firms!).

Thanks, thus far they have been really good but this year its taken a lot longer and I've been not as sure about all my dealings. I have zero trust in any one who deal with financial items at all, as such I try to do everything in writing (email)that way I have the evidence. Hopefully the letter is a mistake otherwise I'm going to disagree with the payments and demand a creditors meeting to reduce them. I've got a major disability that needs surgery this year, and another incurable chronic illness.Coupled with a very insecure public sector job I've been making it clear that a re-mortgage and extension at the end of this year really isn't likely i.e. several months off or redundant hence three plus years of higher than affordable payments. Its taken me six months to save up and pay for two gig tickets (£35 thats all!)as my half yearly big outing. I mean beyond my son and the dog I barely socialise LOL
