I am currently waiting a decision from my creditors meeting to see if my iva has been accepted. i am a little confused by reading about the 50% overtime/bonus clause. i currently get a fixed salary but am able to claim milage allowance for petrol money spent in the duration of my work. will this be taken into account as bonuses as my salary can often look more but does not refect the money i have spent. many thanks

Hi there,
We also claim back petrol/travel allowance, but it is not classed as a bonus or overtime payment as we pay for the expenses upfront and then claim them back. I'm sure your creditors will be happy with that, as the money you receive is not "extra", simply what you have already paid out.
Good luck

No - mileage allowance does not form part of your income, but if you are receiving this you cannot then claim full petrol expenses.

Hi bart.d and welcome,
If you are receiving mileage allowance you can not claim the total amount of petrol expenses and this wont be taken into account as OT or bonus with the 50% clause.
