Hi Everyone,
Do any of you have this insurance? I just need to know if it's something I should apply for. It's om the "Survive your debt" website which I'm sure i got through a link on this site.
Any advice gratefully accepted,
Chardonnay x

There are companies who offer IVA protection insurance.
Like any insurance make sure you understand what you're covered for. I personally don't have the insurance but did think about it.
Here is a link to one of them:

Thanks for these comments. Do you have to wait for a review? I only started my IVA in April and assume it will be reviewed in year.

I only started mine in April as well. I will be having yearly reviews. Don't know what they will need though

Hi Chardonnay,
Yes, every IVA has to be reviewed at least once a year.
Why not get a quote from the website, you don't have to wait until the first review to take it out.

John Tegg is the person you need to speak with. You should be able to find him under the 'experts' section of the Forum. I belive I am right in saying that John was paramount in setting IVA protection insurance up ... he and his wife Gwen are really lovely and regularly attend the Frugal Friends meetings.
I think it's a great idea.

I've registered on the Survive your debt site, it looks as though it will be quite useful once it has everything up and running.
