Hi Everyone,
You'll remember my problems with getting a cheaper car...the saga!!
Having been refused by numerous companies who advertise they help people with CCJ's, IVA's and bankruptcy I have found a solution (actually I've now been accepted by two but I only need one car!!)
Let me summarise - sorry to bore the rest of you, but new people may have a simar problem!!
I have a car with Mercedes (bad choice) which costs £611 per month. I didn't want the car but they sold one Of my deceased partners' cars that I was left paying for (there were 3 of those in total costing a fortune - that's what tipped me into uncontrollable debt).
Gary Beedle at - gary.beedle@leaseline.co.uk has been a real star. He struggled but kept going and believed in me and now I've been accepted. I've got an offer for an 08 Peugot 207CC 1.6 hdi with leather interior!! Wow... It costing a deposit of £1976 and monthly costs of £329 - I'm allowed £350 - a lot but that's just for the first year as they don't know me and be honest my credit rating stinks!!(They sweetly refer to it as "my situation".)A super friend Gary has given me the deposit - how good is that??!!
Next year the deposit will be much less and the monthly repayments will too. I can change after the first year to a longer contract than 12 months (Contract hire with road tax paid) and go for Personal Contract purchase later - which means I'll end up with something to sell as I have a 5 year IVA and am only 2 months in....
The other company that has come up trumps is Aztec Vechile Solutions where I was also accepted - ask for Mike Relf who is great and helpful. They do older trade cars which may be cheaper 06, 07, 57 plates - they do a lot of Ford, Vauxhall, BMW and Merc. No actual figures as yet but I think they may come in cheaper.
Just wanted to share that with you as I was desperate and basically no car no job - I cover the whole of Wales and the bus service and roads are not great - mind you the scenery is superb.
None of these companies made me feel embarassed or ashamed, they were caring and understanding and have gone to great trouble to get me offers.
I just hope this helps any of you who have a similar problem. Mercedes car is going back - either Voluntary Surrend or repossession - Merc not helpful so either way I don't care, it's their car and they are getting it back!!
Only downer today was the £213 electricity bill - estimated so trying to work out where the meter is in this rented new build flat - can't find it anywhere and as I turned the heating off in March (I was freezing) I hope I may be able to reduce that.
Thanks to all of you for helping me through this - I have a renewed sense of fighting spirit!!
Cheers & hugs,
Chardonnay

Hi Barb and everyone,
I can't beleive how much better I feel having you all as my new family!! Even now my friends are trying to help - I had three offers for the car deposit (some part some all). How wonderful - I can see the candle at the end of the tunnel for now and that's great.
Love you all,
Chardonnay

Hi All,
Just to let you know my car is ordered!! I should have non mercedes wheels in about 10days - yippee!!
I've gone through leaseline - Gary Beedle, Tel: 07879 414307, e-mail as before.(He has given permission for me to give his phone number so you can say it came from me, or my posting on here).
I've told Gary I mentioned him on the website and he was very grateful even car companies are feeling the pinch. He will do his best for anyone (especially in our position) as he's been in difficulties himself in the past.
I hope this helps anyone looking for a car, or needing to change their current arrangement.
Chardonnay x
