The fees went up in March this year, I think, shocking I know....
Not sure about the cards, but know that the co-op do the cashminder acc which is great for br's. We opened our account before we filed and it has d/debit's, debit card, internet & phone banking.

Hi There,
Agree with Chris - get yourself to the co-op quick for a cashminder account!! I opened mine with no hassle in a couple of weeks while waiting for the IVA to go through - the Nat west were not helpful and just time wasted. You'll need the usual things, passport, driving licence, utility bills, etc. Just find your ocal branch and pop in - they'll start the process then and there.
The pre-paid cards are also easy - just google pre-paid cards. There is a site available which compares the top ten cards, Virgin (Mastercard)to Splash Cash (Maestro)- I searched Maestro pre-paid cards. They will be useful if you need to stay in a hotel or want to web shop as you can only spend what you have already put on the card, also your partner can top up for you and a lot are free to top up and have no monthly fees.
I hope that helps and good luck,
Hugs,
Chardonnay
