Hi All
Some of you may remember I went for an interview with the police in a civilian capacity.
I was offered the job pending checks & had to meet with the head of security to go through my IVA.
I have now had official confirmation that all checks are fine & I have agreed a start date!
My meeting with the head of security was far worse than my original interview but I'm just so chuffed that everything is ok. Thank goodness common sense has prevailed!

Congratulations

I've been through the same thing and it's a nightmare hey. Nice to think that common sense has won through

I think a lot of it comes down to being upfront and honest. That alone will get you a long way.
:o)

I had the same thing happen but they rejected me because of my IVA, after having offered me the job. I've now got a full and final proposal being made to my creditors.....different forces operate in different ways, I think. I'd be interested, off-board, to know which one you're now working for, but only if you're happy to let me know.

Cheers

That's great news - and three cheers to the police authorities for being sensible on this occasion! I am sure that they have found themselves a very valuable employee.

I must add - I'm pleased for you, too! Just frustrated by my own situation, although hopefully there's a positive resolution in sight.

Best of luck with the new career

BC, I forgot to put that I am sorry to hear that you were turned down.

I work for a Midlands Police Force and they are funny about BR and IVA.

I'm just thankful that I was already employed before I got into this mess.

Some HR Departments just can't see past that financial obstacle to the wonderful person you obviously are!

Kallis3....could I mail you offboard, if you provide me with an address? I live in the area that you mention - a big catchment area, I know, but would still like to find out more if you're happy to talk

Cheers
