When i speak to my creditors ( bless them )
I tell them i am currently halfway thru my IVA...application !![8D]
They keep asking for a refrence number !! What is this number ???

It will be the application ref you have with your IP

You will get a reference / court number when your IVA is approved by the court - until then you do not have a reference number that matters I am afraid!

Yes, they possibly haven't grasped that you are still doing your application. Just tell them you don't have one yet.

Hi there I was given a reference number straight away. Give our company a ring and ask them if you have one yet as the creditors are asking for it. As said if they ring just say as yet you dont have one and refer hem to your company.

We are with Melanie and asked her this question. Her team do not issue ref numbers as tey know all their clients by name.

I think larger companies tend to issue client numbers.

Thats right Marie some may not use them I think the bigger ones do purely to recognise the client.

I am with Melanie too and oh how nice it is to have such personal service, however, I know your frustration as the creditors would not accept from me that I did not have a reference number no matter how many times I told them! I know Melanies name and business address (that I used for correspondence) by heart as I recited it that many times! I kept referring them to Melanie everytime they rang, they must have been as fed up of me as I was of them ! lol

My clients are human beings not reference numbers! And we remember every single one of them.
