hi there
i have completed my IVa and recieved the certificate of satisfaction, i have tried to obtain a credit card to repair my credit rating but i was only successful with a loan
is there any way i can repair my credit rating???

Afraid not - six years from the date of your IVA starting should see everything drop off your credit rating ........mind you after everything we have been through the last thing I am bothered about is getting credit again!

I think - though don't know - that there could be some merit in adding a note to your credit file (contact the credit reference agencies to do this) to say that you've successfully completed your IVA, you've learnt your lesson and are now solvent, etcetc....yes, you will have a harder time getting credit after being in an IVA, but if you survived your IVA without having a credit card, why would you want to have one again?
