Just filling in my expense sheet ready to send to my IP....Anyone got any tips on what i should sensibly put....How can you answer things such as clothing/footwear and medicines/prescriptions...You just get these things as and when don't you? Even more so when you have 2 young children...And sundries/emergencies?

Hi

Just put down what you feel you need, obviously within reason, but dont be to tough on yourself, i the end of the day, you need to live by this budget for 5 or 6 years so if it doesnt provide you with much it may fail.

Saying that contingency is usually £50 - £75 a month.

Your IP or their supervisor will tell you if its too much. But dont let them sway you into a very tight budget just to get a quick IVA through.

Hope that helps

Try and base the figures on what you have spent over the last year. It is a good idea to keep some form of record of your spending in these areas so that you can accurately predict your requirement over the following year.

As a pointer the CCCS allow a £40 contingency for a family of two adults and two children.
