Oh Debbie, I'm so very sorry. I know how hard it is when you lose part of your family, that's what pets become. Remember all the great times you've shared and one day you'll be able to think of him without hurting. Wish I could give you a huge hug, ((((0))))

Debbi, I'm so sorry to hear about Oliver - it is like losing one of your family. I know when my dog, Perry, died 3 years ago I was absolutely devastated. I'm thinking of you at this time. xxxx

Dear Debbie

I was so sad to read about poor Oliver. You and your family must be devastated. I know how I would feel if I lost my beloved Nelson. At least he isn't suffering any more and as Melanie said, try not to leave it too long before you get another puppy. They bring such joy to our lives and I for one couldn't live without my Nelson.

God bless Oliver.

I normally just hover on these boards, don't post very often but I'm so sorry to hear your news. Like the other posts say, pets are part of the family and you'll miss him as much as you would miss any other family member. Why not take a trip to your local dogs home, you can't replace Oliver but there are hundreds of dogs out there looking for loving homes and owners like you. Both my dogs are rescue dogs and they seem to appreciate their new home more than a puppy would. Try to keep your chin up and remember the happy times, I'm sure you had loads!!!

Hi Debbi

I have been thinking about you a lot, everytime I look at my boy (who is 5) I think of what you must be going through.

Don't want to gush on but wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and wish you very well

Debbie I got through it by having a photo of my dog that I could keep looking at and talking to as though he was still there.
Glad you're feeling a little better but it will take time. Eventually you will be able to remember him without that awful feeling of loss, but to laugh at the happy times and enjoy his memory.
