I posted a couple of weeks ago as I was struggling with the bedroom arrangements and couldnt see a way forward. After a few tears and an attack of the POM's I got my ass in gear and changed them all round, decorating etc and moving just about everything in the house. Its been hard work but I have nearly finished. A friend, who I turned to for a shoulder was only too happy to help me work everything out, she has expertise in the special needs area. Well she said she had something for me, well mainly for my daughter who had to move into a room a lot smaller than her old one to accomodate the family. She came today with the most beautiful red half persian kitten for my daughter, who has always wanted a ginger cat.

I dont have a name yet, we are told she is a girl but she is ginger and I thought all gingers were boys so we are just going to look at her and see what comes to mind. As soon as I saw her I thought Alfie, I assumed.... its totally thrown me.

Hi Lily.
Congrats on the new addition. It is true that most ginger cats are male but you do get the odd ginger female.

Yes she is a girl, she is white, pale red with dark red stipes, lovely blue eyes and fluffy fur, sooo tiny though. We are thinking Amber, princess, primrose, peaches, so far.

Again, most tortoishell cats are female but rarely you do get a male. These males are generally infertile though. It's all down to chromosomes.

She is gorgeous! Please don't call her Peaches, I think of Bob Geldof's daughter!
I think Honey would suit her like Debbie says.
