He is lovley.
As a child I went on a riding holiday and the little shetland there was always escaping. They are fiery little fellas and I remember him charging at me, I nearly jumped in the canal.

No surgery, just getting rid of the sweatiest bit of a very thick coat.

Hes a real sweetie and he loves a kiss and cuddle.
The little boy has been lead around on him every day this week and he's even had a trot.

They could be really good for each other.

We havent long left him for the night.
Gave him a brush, fed him and tucked him up AND the best bit is......you can muck him out with a dustpan and brush [:D]

He was funny when we first got him, he didnt know what to do with a haynet and didnt have a clue what a bucket of water was. He must have had one of them auto water thingies. Anyway, hubby taught him where the water is and we now put his hay on the floor in his stable so hes happy.

I believe horses are really good for autistic kids. Even his teachers have commented because hes always talking about his pony. They think its doing his confidence a lot of good.

Two of mine used to go to riding for the disabled at a stable, with their special school and they really loved it. My son drew his 'billy' horse and loved him. The other son made it to the dressage (not sure of the spelling) competitions and it did his confidence the world of good.

Good luck to all of you, I hope its the start of a beautiful relationship. These kids are so wonderful and worthwhile arent they? Inspiration all the way every single day.

Hes a wonderfull and funny little boy (apart from the time he had a hammer about to brain me with it)
Just the random comments he makes are so funny.
If somebody was to offer to wave a magic wand, i still wouldnt change him. He is what he is....swear words and all.
I do worry about when the time comes for him to go to high school though........still a long way to go yet though.

Only one of my three went to normal school but he was fine and very well supported. There were a few problems at first but once the teachers understood it was OK. I did worry though.

On one occaision my son was sent into the corner for eating in class, when questioned about it he said he was hungry. (logical enough, you understand, dont you?). Then all hell broke loose as he set off the fire extinguisher, white powder everywhere, when questioned again he said "well it said push".....so... Another thing that cropped up was the timetable. It stated that one lesson ends at 10am the next starts at 10am, how do you have time to get to the second one? They had to change the time table. Anyway, never a dull moment but it was all worth it. He is going to start at uni this September, I couldnt be more proud.

Awwwww LILY thats brilliant. I hope my little one goes on and does as well. I think his talent will be music. He watches and listens to a lot of rock music on youtube. He watches the guitarists and tries to copy them on his little juniour guitar.
