been to vets today for booster with casey.. firstly she wouldn't let vet look at the sore on her back leg. then she growled and went for vet as he went to inject her, I couldn't calm her down as hubby is the only one she calms down for at vets, they then got a nurse to help and she turned on her (thought she was going to bite her). finally they tied a bandage around her mouth and got the job done.. dog was so distraught. vet said she is so agitated with her skin theres nothing they can really do. he gave me cream but advised to have serious chat re putting her out of her misery.. cried all the way home (think went through a red light!!). phoned in sick as couldn't face work!! (i'm never off even go in when ill). the sore on her leg is nearly through to the bone where she keeps chewing it.
she's let hubby put cream on with a sock, micro pored on.. he pinned her down but she let him!! don't know what to do for the best!!

Aww Angela I am so sorry!
Only you and hubby will know what is best. I know that staement probably doesn't help....
I hope she calms down a bit for you, she didn't mean to turn on the vet I'm sure.
I hope you are okay, you should take as much time as you need dogs are more than just pets they are part of the family.
Big hugs coming your way and one for Casey XXX [:X]

Oh Angela, I'm so sorry that you're having such a bad time. It's awful when animals are ill and I really hope that Casey's just having a bad day like Marie says. Big hugs xxx

she takes steroids for her skin, which in turn has its side effects.. she's on viviton for her walking as she as slow as a tortoise, think its like arthritis, but they started out great but don't seem to be much help of late. she so miserable and has sad eyes and not much of a staffie smile..
worried sick

Defo not a good look.
Do you think you will be in work tomorrow? Try and have a few days if you can get away with it. Give yourself time to make the right choices.
Thinking about you XX

Ang, I'm really sorry about Casey, big hug for you both. I'm sure when the sore heals up that she won't have that sad look anymore. She'll get over today too, I'm sure. Don't really know what to say, don't think the worst just yet. Thinking of you both. Viki X

Nothing I can add but just to let you know that my thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. Your baby will let you know by her body language when it is time to go to sleep gently, but I do hope that this will not be soon.

i know thanks melanie.. the carry on at the vets though upsets me as when she does go wouldn't want her to be so distraught.. i know they come to the house.. but would just prefer for to get up one day and she's gone peacefully in her sleep.. hopefully will be along way off and she perks up soon
