As part of our journey towards an IVA, we have obviously had to change our bank account to one with whom we had no credit. We went to Nationwide.

What would happen in the event Nationwide was taken over by one of our creditors, would we have to move to another one, or would the fact that we were in an IVA save us from them taking any money from our account?

Hey Kallis3, I'm pretty sure that once you are in an IVA that no-one can just take money out of your account, however, if the bank gets taken over by one of your creditors then they may give you a months notice to close the account. Viki X

That would be very unlikely, Kallis - and Nationwide continue to confirm that they intend to remain independent.

Thank you both for that. It was just a little thing niggling. You know how it is when you are getting closer to that IVA meeting - I keep having all these negative thoughts popping into my head
