I admit I am huge fan of the co-op. There service levels are superb and their ethical policies are excellent.
Had a letter today to say they have reviewed the way their charges operate:
- You can only occur a maximum of £150 bank charges in any quarter (this was £300 previously)
- If you have been in credit for the last year and go over drawn they will waive the charges for the items on the first day so long as you return your account to credit within 7days.
When I think back to my difficulties, the natwest were charging me over £200 a month!! Just what you need when you have difficulties.
I hope i wont need the above at anytime, but I just think it really shows a different approach from a bank.
