You should be able to keep your bank account, so long as you have no debts with the Bank of Scotland.

Good morning and welcome to the forum.
If you are not overdrawn and do not have loans or credit cards with your bank then you do not need to open a new bank account.
Good luck.

The above experts are correct, as long as you have no debt with Bank of Scotland you should be allowed to keep your account.
Is there any reason why your IVA is taking 8 months to set up? Or were you in a DMP first and now starting the IVA process?

Hi there,
Being scared is only natural as you are finally facing up to your debt situation. Just remember that you are taking action and steps towards a debt free future, rather than keeping your head buried in the sand.
Could you tell me who your creditors are? And what dividend are you offering?

Not at all, I was just interested to see if you had any of the difficult creditors (eg: HSBC, Northern Rock etc) who want more than the usual 25p/£ dividend.
