Hi, I stayed with NatWest and they upgraded me. I would suggest once your credit files are clear you can get one in most high street banks. I upgraded online with NatWest.

Hi,
You could try Barclays, Co-op or Nationwide. They are usually pretty good.

Don't blame you. If you go into a branch and just put it to them, they may help you out without it going through the credit check initially.

I've been looking on natwest site you can open a basic account with them and still get a visa debit card but not a cheque book which I'm not bothered about that. Don't know if l should get the basic account then after a while they might let me upgrade the account.

I would still nip in and have a word in branch.

Natwest have always been good to me and the longer you're with them the more chance of an upgrade so a basic account may be a good start. All the best, let us know how you get on.

I stared with Nat West basic account and after a couple of years upgraded to a select silver account. Their online banking is very good!

It is sometimes better to apply in branch than online.
